Pompeiana is a small, medieval but vivid village very close to the Ligurian Sea, It is located centrally on the southern slopes of Monte Croce, a high hill of about 600 meters. The village has approx 800 inhabitants.
The venue of Pompeiana is the piazza and the osteria with a number of musical events all around the year. But there are also several other ”sagras” and festivals during the summer.
Pompeiana’s favourable southerly location, its proximity to the sea and the hill in the background guarantee a mild climate all year round. As well as several picturesque villages in the neigbour hood with lots of nice small restaurants, there are also urban spots nearby. Arma di Taggia (4 km) has a huge supply of shops and shopping centers.
Sanremo (10 km) is the nearest big city with luxury shopping and dining, concert halls, casino, museums, botanical gardens etc.
Imperia is the capital of the region and offers a lot of history, culture, food & wine and other exciting experiences, as does the region as a whole.
You will find all basic services in the village. Restaurant, bar and café, grocery stores, pharmacy, post office and public transport.
